Modelling
I have currently been using green modelling clay for sculpting, i have created a few small objects to get the feel of it and to understand how to use it. firstly i made a travellers backpack to understand how it moulds together and then i created a head for the character i have been creating, this was only a first draft/attempt.
After i constructed the backpack i looked at how i could have made it better what would make it look more realistic i decided that i would look into whatever i was creating more to understand structure.
When i created the head, i looked at a real face to see how the different parts of the face and how they worked with each other and how it constructed the face.
I used a few different tools to create different definitions and features within the face like eyes mouth nose and frown lines next to the mouth. This is a very good way to create detail within the models that we are making.

Research
I have been doing some research into anatomy of the human
figure and learning the proportions of the body, I have also been looking into different
things like mutation and titans in order to get a good idea for the post-apocalyptic
character and surrounding. Here are some images of the designs i have come up with for the characters and some of the research i have found.

Induction Project
To start off the college year we were set a summer project to help bring us
into the induction project. We have to create a character from a
post-apocalyptic world without involving aliens or zombies.
Today we were working on Ludology which is basically the science of games, we looked into randomisers and how they are used in games as equations to show the probability of a hit or miss in a game for example a shooter shooting a target the same size as itself would bring the probability to 50/50 but if it was to target something smaller the probability would go more in the favour of the target so it could be 75/25 to the target but if it was a target bigger than you the probability would be 75/25 in your favour when trying to calculate the hit or miss factor.
We used many different randomisers such as a 6 sided die, a deck of 52 playing cards and coins, etc. To find out how to get the probability I took a deck of 52 playing cards and sorted them into 4 piles of 13, this allowed me to choose red or black and select one for hit and one for miss. This is a very random way of selecting whether an object hit or missed the target but worked in an effective way.
4 suits - 25% each set
Red or Black 50-50
Probability of drawing a single certain card = approximately 2%
